Relevant Experience as Land Surveyor

With over 25 years of experience as a Survey Party Chief/ CADD Specialist, Mr. Nabstedt’s responsibilities include topographic and construction surveying, deformation monitoring, field data collection, downloading of data, computation and manipulation, as well as base and final plan preparation.  


  • Mr. Nabstedt is fluent in the use of AutoCAD, Softdesk, Least Squares Adjustment Program, and a wide variety of survey instruments including total stations, auto levels, laser levels and GPS.
  • Mr. Nabstedt has attended and holds a certificate for successfully completing the 40-hour training in the comprehensive compliance with OSHA regulations 1910.120 Hazardous Waste Operation and Emergency Response and the OSHA 10-hour Construction Safety.

Specific Projects and Services Completed include
  • Northwoods office renovation project located in johnstown, RI construction layout, out of scope, and originial scope work is being provided.
  • I-93 Bridge Replacements “Fast 14”: Mr. Nabstedt established control and performed detailed layout under many of the 14 bridges replaced. Layout included line and grade for up to 96 individual beam seats per bridge in between existing bridge girders. This work was performed with active traffic both above and below the bridges and in one case over water.
  • Boston Tea Party Museum: Mr Nabstedt performed numerous survey tasks including primary control verification, monitoring elements of the existing and “under construction” structures for movement. Construction tasks included layout for marine false work and 47 marine plumb and battered piles, layout of pile caps and preparing as-built drawings for the piles.
  • Boston Intersection Improvements: This project was for existing conditions plans to be prepared to MHD standards for seventeen intersections. Mr. Nabstedt performed the property research and street line determinations for all seventeen of intersections. Mr. Nabstedt also performed the field survey, drafting, CAD work and field checking for ten of the intersections.
  • Weymouth Landing Improvements:  Mr. Nabstedt was responsible for much of the research, field survey and plan preparation of this important but depressed retail and commercial district of Weymouth and Braintree, which straddles the Braintree/Weymouth Town Line along Route 53. 
  • Greenbush Line Restoration:  Mr. Nabstedt has responsible for all aspects of the survey on the MBTA Greenbush Line Restoration project.  His tasks included existing condition surveys; establish right-of-way and property lines, railroad construction layout, and the completion of final as-builts.
