Commonwealth Ave Bridge

Project Overview:

Replacement of bridge carrying the Greenline B branch, 7 lanes of traffic, pedestrian, and bicycle traffic over I-90 and Commuter rail tracks. Costing $110 million the work was performed using accelerated construction processes, and competed in two shutdowns in 2017 and 2018. Conventionally this project would have taken 4-5 years to complete. The work was complete around the clock and required survey support at all times. The bridge was first assembled off site then reassembled on site during the compressed work schedule.
